The news article which would be sought to be elucidated this week, appeared in the Guardian, named, “Coronavirus could turn back the clock 30 years on global poverty”, by Kaamil Ahmed. The author has offered the picture of an unfortunate reality wherein research has warned that “economic impact of global shutdown could push half a billion people into privation” (Ahmed, 2020).
